A place where caring and learning are inseperable

We believe it is a privilege to serve Christ and families. We choose to do that in a caring and loving manner, nurturing each child that enters our doors with integrity and distinction. Our programs provides a variety of age appropriate cognitive and physical development for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

How we run our day

Daily Schedule

Our daily schedule offers time for children to participate in both group activities and independent child choice activities

Guided Free Play

Your child will get to use their imagination when playing throughout the classroom.

Large Group Time

Bible and children’s stories, songs, finger plays and music, calendar and weather, and art.

Large Motor Time

Outside play on the playground or inside organized games and exercise in our gym.

Focused Learning Time

Young children learn by doing. Our teaching strategies and curriculum help children acquire knowledge about their physical and social world through playful interaction with objects and people. We offer programs appropriate to the age and developmental readiness.

Faith Lessons

The children grow in their appreciation of God’s creation, enjoy worship activities and respond to God’s love by caring for others.

Healthy Meals

We know that healthy eating and an active lifestyle can be crucial to having a healthy life. Good nutrition is a key part of our program. We follow the CAFCP for all of our meals and snacks.

Our Childcare Programs

We meet kids where they are

Personalized care for each infant based on his or her schedule, nutritional guidelines and other special attention he/she requires all while being wrapped in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

6 weeks – 16 months

In our toddler room, we use hands-on exploration and social interaction in a safe, engaging surrounding to help your child learn about his or her world, and of course wrapped up in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

16 – 32 months

There are two preschool options.

The Pre-1 classroom provides an environment where your preschooler can learn a sense of control, play with peers, learn self-help skills and social skills.

The Pre-2 classroom is an environment where your preschooler is strengthening their self-help skills, socialization skills and learning how to be respectful to others.

33 months – 4 years

Our K-Ready class ensures that each child is socially, emotionally and academically ready for kindergarten, all while being wrapped in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

4 years – 5 years

Our school-age program reinforces the cognitive skills they learn in school, promotes self-esteem, friendship and rules, all while being wrapped in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

Kindergarten – 12 years

Our Club-J Summer class offers 12 weeks of summer activities, field trips, and mission work in a Christ centered environment.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is a blend of Starfall and Funshine and aligns with all the Minnesota Early Learning Standards. Our goal for your child is when they arrive at kindergarten, he or she will exhibit his/her knowledge and skills across multiple learning areas described in learning and academic standards. These include social and emotional, math/science/social studies (cognitive), physical, the arts, language/literacy and communication domains. As Little Lambs is a learning center, our days and weeks are scheduled as if your child was in school. If you wish to have your child ready for kindergarten, we encourage you to have your child here for a minimum of 3 days a week but we prefer 4-5

Faith development is a key part of our non-denominational curriculum. The staff takes on the exciting challenge of making faith real and alive for young children. All activities add in some way to preschoolers’ spiritual lives, helping them see themselves as children of God. The children grow in their appreciation of God’s creation, enjoy worship activities and respond to God’s love by caring for others.

Testimonials

It is the hardest thing as a parent to not be with your child throughout the week but it has been an answer to prayer to have found a place where I can bring my son that I can trust and know that the staff will love and care for him! Each day I know that he will learn, play, and be loved! I love all the activities they do and I am so happy they have time to sing and praise God in the sanctuary! I know the staff shares Jesus’ love with each of the little ones! Thank you Little Lambs for caring for my baby!

My daughter just started the Preschool Program two days a week and we absolutely LOVE it! Her teachers are amazing!! The best part is that we can tell she really enjoys it, learns so much, is truly happy there, and is so well taken care of! We just attended their Christmas Pageant and it was incredible! I am so grateful that we found Little Lambs. It is the best child development center around! We couldn’t be happier!
